Broadway Ventures is seeking a skilled Desktop & Network Administrator to support a Department of Defense (DoD) Research and Development infrastructure. Join a dynamic, fast-paced environment where your technical expertise directly contributes to cutting-edge innovation in national defense.
Security Clearance Requirement
This position primarily provides onsite desktop technical support to researchers and engineers. Secondarily, it supports the enterprise Network Services team with local network operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong technical foundation, effective communication skills, and a collaborative spirit.

Security Clearance Requirement
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance
- Active clearance is highly preferred
- U.S. citizenship is required to be eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ or higher) – required at time of hire
This position primarily provides onsite desktop technical support to researchers and engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Deliver responsive desktop support for a diverse user base in a research environment
- Troubleshoot and manage Windows desktop systems in an enterprise setting
- Assist with local network support tasks, including switch setup and connectivity troubleshooting
- Support Active Directory Group Policy, Host-Based Security Systems, antivirus platforms, and smartcard authentication
- Maintain and document information systems (IS) policies and procedures
- Interface with end users and remote Network Services staff to coordinate infrastructure needs and issue resolution
- Coordinate with local telecommunications vendors on wiring and connectivity issues
- Support remote network operations including console access, firmware upgrades, and diagnostics
- Experience with Apple/macOS environments
- Familiarity with Linux desktop systems
- Network switch configuration basics
- Ability to interpret and communicate technical requirements clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- 4+ years of Windows Systems Administration experience
- 1+ years of Networking experience
- Strong understanding of enterprise IT environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to evolving requirements
- Willingness and ability to work onsite in Champaign, IL (relocation required before start)
