The Job Details

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Systems Administrator II to join our dynamic IT team. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining and supporting our computer systems and Azure-based server environment. Your responsibilities will include deploying software, applying patches across multiple systems, and ensuring overall system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates effectively, and brings a proactive approach to system administration and support.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with configuration, maintenance, and reliable operation of computer systems and Windows servers, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Assist with the maintenance of Azure-based infrastructure, including virtual machines.
  • Serve as a technical authority for assigned systems and distributed applications, offering guidance and best practices to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with IT stakeholders and end users to communicate system updates, maintenance schedules, and issue resolutions clearly and effectively.
  • Install, upgrade, and maintain computer hardware and software, ensuring compatibility and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Utilize tools such as Qualys, Intune, and SCCM to deploy monthly patches across all systems, maintaining security and compliance.
  • Assist in deployment and management of Windows Autopilot to streamline the imaging, setup and configuration of new devices.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to deployment, patching, and imaging processes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of deployment processes, configurations, and procedures.

  • Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00/yr.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with 5+ years of relevant experience in systems administration.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as Microsoft Azure Fundamentals are strongly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Azure Expertise: Proven hands-on experience supporting and managing systems within Azure cloud environments.
  • Patch Management: Practical experience with system patching, including planning, deployment, and verification across multiple platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of Windows operating systems, SCCM, Windows Autopilot, and Qualys.
  • Troubleshooting: Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical and deployment issues.
  • Communication: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams, contributing to shared goals and continuous improvement.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with other deployment tools and technologies.
  • Knowledge of the best network and security practices
