Job Overview

CORE Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist the Lead Superintendent with on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Las Vegas. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

  • Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
  • Evaluating quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
  • Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
  • Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
  • Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
  • Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
  • Assisting with daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure schedules, quality standards, and safety practices are upheld.
  • Interpret civil and architectural drawings to manage layout, grades, and elevations on-site.
  • Monitor field productivity and material deliveries; address issues as they arise to maintain progress.
  • Oversee site safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Perform inspections and ensure that deficiencies are corrected promptly.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager, engineers, and inspectors for efficient project flow and problem-solving.
  • Provide daily reports, track crew and equipment performance, and maintain photo documentation.
  • Use Procore and other technology tools for documentation, coordination, and updates.
  • Assist in punch list completion and provide background support during the warranty phase.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar construction role.
  • Familiarity with construction documentation including RFIs, submit and redlines.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills; able to guide crews and coordinate across teams.
  • Prone or open to training in Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction software.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel to project locations as needed.

Schedule

  • Full-Time Monday - Friday, Minimum 50 hrs a week.
  • Extended or weekend hours based on project needs

WorkLocation

  • Southern Nevada / Las Vegas Area - with regional travel as required
