Description
The Director of Partnerships, Life Sciences is responsible for driving new business development and revenue growth within the Life Sciences sector. This is a strategic, results-oriented “hunter” role, requiring full ownership of the sales cycle — from lead generation to deal closure. The successful candidate will identify new opportunities, engage with key stakeholders, and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries, with a particular emphasis on the Dermatology, Oncology, and Rheumatology markets.

This is a strategic, results-oriented “hunter” role, requiring full ownership of the sales cycle — from lead generation to deal closure. The successful candidate will identify new opportunities, engage with key stakeholders, and develop tailored solutions to meet client needs in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical industries, with a particular emphasis on the Dermatology, Oncology, and Rheumatology markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Proactively identify and engage new and existing clients in the pharmaceutical and cosmeceutical sectors to generate sales opportunities.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Own and manage a qualified pipeline, advancing opportunities through the complete sales cycle in accordance with the VisualDx sales methodology. Maintain accurate data in the CRM system.
- Opportunity Qualification: Ensure all leads meet qualification criteria (need, timing, budget, solution fit, decision-making process, and implementation readiness).
- Sales Enablement: Develop and utilize effective sales materials, messaging, and proposals aligned with customer needs and organizational goals.
- Consultative Selling: Understand complex customer challenges and craft tailored, value-driven solutions. Present compelling business cases to user-level, business-level, and financial decision-makers.
- Closing: Consistently close deals in a timely manner to meet or exceed quarterly individual and team revenue targets.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Client Success team to ensure a seamless post-sale transition and support ongoing upsell and expansion opportunities.
- Market Strategy: Contribute to the development of best practices and sales strategies for penetrating the pharmaceutical vertical.
- Customer Relationship Management: Maintain ongoing relationships with key stakeholders to foster long-term growth.
- Product Positioning: Clearly articulate the value proposition of VisualDx solutions, aligning features and benefits with client needs.
- Other Duties: Participate in additional projects or responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, or a related field; a background in medical or healthcare domains is preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in solution-based sales or business development within the healthcare industry, specifically targeting Life Sciences.
- Proven track record of managing quotas between $1.5M–$4M annually.
- Familiarity with Pharmaceutical HCP and Consumer Marketing, and Medical Affairs, particularly in Dermatology, Oncology, and Rheumatology, is strongly preferred.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.

- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed.
