Security Event Staff – Game Day (Part-Time)

Starting Pay: $17.00/hour

This as-needed, part-time opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work while being part of exciting events like Major League Soccer matches, international games, concerts, college football, and more. Most events are held during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Must be able to commit to the full game day schedule and work remaining events for the season.
  • Must clock in and out at least once every 60 days to remain active and eligible for future assignments.
  • Perform bag checks at stadium entry points to enforce prohibited item policies.
  • Patrol concourses and monitor activity to ensure a safe environment.
  • Provide perimeter security both inside and outside the stadium grounds.
  • Verify credentials and tickets to control access to restricted areas.
  • Monitor field and locker room areas for the safety of players and officials.
  • Assist in emergency response in coordination with local public safety.
  • Help with traffic and crowd control as needed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or high-volume situations.
  • Willingness to act as an authority figure when necessary.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to de-escalate conflicts.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and work in outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and long hours as needed.
  • Must meet the clock-in requirement at least once every 60 days to remain active.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; Spanish fluency is a plus.
  • Previous experience in event staffing, venue security, or customer service.
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and remain alert throughout shifts.
