About the Chanda Center for Health: The Chanda Center for Health (the Center) is a non-profit healthcare organization in Lakewood, CO with a mission to improve the health and wellness of people living with long-term disabilities and reduce their associated healthcare costs. We believe that people living with long-term physical disabilities have the right to create their own healthcare path, live independently, and be active members in the community.
We deliver services and positive health outcomes through an integrative healthcare model including acupuncture, massage, chiropractic care, adaptive yoga, physical therapy, counseling, behavioral health and care coordination.
Position Overview: The Center is seeking a hands-on leader and practicing Physical Therapist, to oversee clinical operations and ensure the delivery of exceptional care to Center participants. This individual will supervise a multidisciplinary team of in-house and contract providers – including physical therapists, PT assistants; techs or aides; occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, massage therapists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and community partners – and guide them in delivering participant-centered care aligned with the Center’s mission and values. This position will support the Center in serving people living with physical disabilities such as Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries, Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Spina Bifida, and Muscular Dystrophy and other neurological conditions. This position will set the tone for program growth through strong leadership and organizational skills that promote quality care and a positive environment for all.
This position will report to the Executive Director and play a key role in program development, strategic planning, community engagement, and clinic operations. This role is ideal for a licensed PT who is passionate about health equity, social justice, and collaborative, integrative healthcare delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Clinical Leadership & Management
- Lead, develop, and support a multidisciplinary clinical team to provide high-quality, integrated care in line with budget and strategic goals.
- Provide direct physical therapy services and oversee PT department operations, maintaining an efficient and effective approach.
- Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate clinical staff and contractors.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal protocols, and documentation requirements.
- Develop and implement clinical procedures, policies, and quality metrics.
- Serve as a liaison to external partners, referral networks, and community organizations.
Operations & Strategy
- Oversee clinic operations, including efficient scheduling process and workflow optimization that supports participant and provider satisfaction.
- Responsible for the financial performance of clinical department, ensuring alignment with budgetary and strategic goals.
- Develop and implement key performance metrics for operational excellence, ensure determined metrics are achieved.
- Partner with the Executive Leadership to implement organizational initiatives and growth objectives as outlined in the strategic plan.
- Contribute to infrastructure development and process improvements using project management tools.
- Lead efforts in performance evaluation, continuing education, and staff development.
Participant & Community Engagement
- Maintain regular communication with participants to ensure high-quality service and responsiveness, drive initiatives for the Center around participant retention.
- Supervise the Participant Ambassador program and integrate feedback into care delivery models.
- Lead efforts to strengthen referral networks, hospital partnerships, and shared-service programs.
- Represent the Center in community and professional settings to enhance awareness and partnerships.
Qualifications:
Education, Certifications and Experience
- Licensed Physical Therapist (BSPT or MSPT required).
- Minimum 3 years of leadership experience in healthcare or nonprofit settings.
- Minimum 2 years of clinic or department management (outpatient or inpatient).
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and service lines.
- Experience in integrative or complementary medicine settings preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Strong understanding of disability rights, healthcare equity, and holistic health practices.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with CMS regulations and Medicaid/Medicare billing practices.
- Knowledge of local disability services and healthcare networks in Colorado.
- Skilled at identifying and using project management and systems tools to enhance agency functions and clinical operations.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences (i.e., clinical staff and providers, community members, professional partners, insurance companies, and government agencies).
- High level of organizational skills with a focus on detail and follow-through.
- Enjoys working hard, tackling challenges, and not afraid to take ownership of a situation.
- Leads with a collaborative nature and is able to balance tactical and visionary activities.
- Experience with and/or a desire to support people living with long-term physical disabilities along with a belief that people living with disabilities have the right to create their own healthcare path, live independently, and be active members in the community.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVTIES:
- Fast-paced clinic setting with extensive participant and provider interaction.
- Requires regular standing, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds).
WORK HOURS: Standard workweek is Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required for special events.

WORKPLACE: Onsite at the Chanda Center for Health (1630 Carr Street, Lakewood, CO 80214). Travel off-site to meetings and events will be necessary on occasion.
ANNUAL SALARY: $115,000 - $130,000
