PURPOSE OF THE JOB
This position assists the Loan Administration Manager in the supervision of the Loan Administration staff, which supports the booking and ongoing servicing of the bank’s consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans. Serves as support to Loan Administration Manager in loan core processing system, with responsibility for upgrades and installations of new products. Assists in ensuring adherence with loan compliance regulations. Works with sub-servicing, tax tracking and force placed insurance vendors to verify services provided. Assists Manager in supervision of loan imaging system. Along with Loan Administration Manager, works closely with lenders, department managers, and senior and executive management to service customers, improve processes, and ensure regulatory compliance. Serves as conversion team member in bank acquisitions.

MAIN DUTIES OF THE JOB
- Assists in the supervision of day-to-day activities for the loan administration function (Bank owned and Investors) including the scheduling of workflows, supervision of staff, and employment of systems.
- Enforces Bank Policies and mitigates risk through the development and maintenance of procedures employed to provide quality, timely, and cost-effective product delivery to the Bank’s Customers.
- Serves as technical liaison for core processing system ensuring a strong understanding of system processing, shadow accounting, and escrow processing.
- Assists in the supervision of the preparation of periodic reconciliations of loan system general ledger accounts and research and clearing of daily differences.
- Along with Loan Administration Manager, supervises the flow of documents for imaging and indexing to Director.
- Supervises safekeeping of bank’s original loan documents including promissory notes and original collateral documents.
- Participates in activities to monitor the activities of vendors for mortgage sub-servicing, property tax tracking, and force placed insurance.
- Assists Loan Administration Manager in ensuring compliance with Flood Disaster Protection Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, RESPA, CFPB requirements, and other loan compliance requirements.
- Works with staff to ensure current procedures are written and employees are trained in accordance with procedures.
- Produces management information reporting as necessary
- In coordination with manager, completes assigned job performance evaluations and prepares and conducts employee counseling as required.
- Participates in the development of system and process requirements for new products, regulatory changes to existing products, and new or revised technology.
- Performs production tasks on a routine basis.
- Supervises projects as assigned within the Loan Administration Department and participates in projects outside the Department.
- 7 years of relevant and current loan operations, documentation, and compliance experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management, or Accounting
- Technical experience to include a thorough understanding of consumer, mortgage, and commercial loan processes and documentation
- Thorough knowledge of legal and regulatory environment and industry standards
- Thorough knowledge of lending law for states of Louisiana and Mississippi
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal business partners and external customers.
- Ability to react and respond to critical demands of the department with competing deadlines.
- Established interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize personal computer, various software applications and applicable office equipment.
- Certifications and/or education requirements.
