We are hiring a Accountant for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity in Tulsa. This role is replacing an accounting professional with strong experience in inventory ($40 Million) and fixed assets. This Accountant will be responsible for core general ledger activities, financial reporting, and supporting audits within a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform monthly general ledger close processes including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage and track inventory accounting, including reconciliations and adjustments.
• Maintain and reconcile fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Support internal and external audit activities by preparing necessary documentation.
• Assist with tax and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial data and reporting.
• Contribute to process improvements and assist with system upgrades or implementations.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required .
• 6-8 years of accounting experience ; strong focus on inventory and fixed assets.
• CPA or progress toward CPA is a plus.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and internal controls.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
