About The Role

Windsor is seeking a dynamic Talent Specialist who will be a driving force behind our talent excellence, engineering world-class employee experiences from hire to retire. This role reports to the Director of HR and offers the opportunity to connect with outstanding engineering professionals, guide their development, and create meaningful career experiences that help both individuals and Windsor thrive. You'll be essential in enhancing talent acquisition strategies, delivering development programs, and providing day-to-day support that makes a real difference in employees' professional lives. Additionally, you'll provide essential HR operations support including benefits administration and HRIS management during an upcoming team member leave. You'll focus on operational excellence while building the relationships and programs that make Windsor a place where engineering professionals don't just work—they build exceptional careers.

What You'll Do

Talent Acquisition

  • Execute and enhance talent acquisition strategies by building and maintaining talent pipelines for key engineering positions
  • Implement targeted hiring initiatives for specialized technical roles, utilizing discipline-specific recruitment approaches
  • Support employer branding initiatives and coordinate internally to strengthen Windsor's visibility in the engineering community
  • Maintain university relationships and professional association partnerships to ensure consistent talent channels
  • Track and report on key talent metrics including time-to-fill, quality-of-hire, and candidate satisfaction

Employee Development & Performance Management

  • Implement career development programs, succession planning initiatives, and individual development plans that support employee growth
  • Coordinate annual and mid-year performance review cycles, skills assessments, and support managers with performance conversations
  • Deliver coaching and performance improvement support that enhances both technical skills and professional development capabilities
  • Enhance internship programs, onboarding, and entry-level development initiatives that cultivate talent
  • Support internal mobility opportunities by tracking career progression and coordinating with managers

Employee Relations & Performance Management

  • Handle day-to-day employee relations matters, performance issues, and conflict resolution with sensitivity to client impact
  • Coach managers and employees through difficult conversations and development planning
  • Proactively address workplace conflicts and concerns before they escalate or impact client relationships
  • Maintain positive workplace culture through fair, consistent, and transparent people practices

Manager & Business Partnership

  • Support managers and team leaders with talent needs, development planning, and performance management guidance
  • Coordinate with Managers and cross-functional leaders on talent requirements, skill development, and employee growth opportunities
  • Assist with workforce planning initiatives and provide talent insights to support business planning efforts

Program Coordination & HR Operations Coverage

  • Coordinate and implement talent programs that support recruitment effectiveness and employee retention
  • Track metrics and gather feedback to measure program success and identify areas for improvement
  • Provide comprehensive HR operations support including benefits administration and HRIS system management during an upcoming team member leave
  • Handle employee benefits enrollment, inquiries, and vendor coordination to ensure continuous service delivery
  • Maintain HRIS system administration, employee data updates, and routine system maintenance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in talent acquisition or employee development, cross-functional HR support
  • Proven experience recruiting engineering and technical professionals with an understanding of technical competencies
  • Experience coaching, with performance management, and employee development
  • Experience with employee relations, conflict resolution, and performance improvement
  • Knowledge of HR generalist functions including benefits administration, HRIS systems, and employee services
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships at all organizational levels
  • Knowledge of employment law, compliance requirements, and HR best practices
  • Experience using metrics to track and improve talent outcomes
  • Understanding of consulting business models and client service requirements preferred
