Position Summary
This is a clinical position providing psychological testing to adults and children. Involves the administration of formal psychological testing instruments, assisting with diagnostic clarification, assessing level of cognitive and emotional functioning, and providing treatment recommendations to improve service efficacy and effectiveness.
- Provide a written report of testing data such that the client's provider can develop and update realistic and effective treatment plans/case plans with the clients and their families.
- Conducts client/guardian interviews as well as administers, scores, and interprets a comprehensive battery of relevant cognitive and emotional functioning measures. Documentation includes an accurate and thorough written report of measure results that is provided to the referral source and client in a manner consistent with that person's level of functioning.
- Maintain contact with clients as determined by the assigned level of care and appropriate to their clinical needs.
- Provide a minimum of 2 psychological evaluation per 40 hours worked as evidenced by complete documentation of services that has been submitted for billing in a timely fashion.
Education/Experience Requirements
- Doctorate Degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Counseling or Clinical Psychology.
- Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Florida.
- Must have sufficient clinical knowledge to administer, score, and interpret formal psychological testing instruments to adults and children who manifest a range of psychopathology.
- Sufficient clinical knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based treatments required. Must acquire knowledge of community resources.
