Essential Duties & Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS & LOCATIONS:
Education: Must be enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, education, social work, public relations or a similar field.
Skills/Knowledge: General office environment with the use of computer programs for general office work (Microsoft Office, PowerPoint) as well as design programs (Photoshop, InDesign, Canva). Minimal lifting and travel between sites.
Requirement: Interns must successfully complete a background check for all states of residency within the last 5 years.
Locations: Primarily working at our La Crosse Headquarters, but will gain experience at our other locations in Winona and Viroqua as needed.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Create weekly, monthly and full-year social media calendars to promote the overall and programmatic FCC brand on various social media websites.
- Work with the Advancement & Marketing Specialist, create and distribute content such as blogs, infographics, videos, and press releases to media contacts both traditional news outlets and through social media contacts.
- Assist with creative ideas to help grow the social media presence of FCC.
- Assist with donor thank-you calls and follow-up.
- Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns. Brainstorm and research ideas for original content utilizing the video skills of FCC’s Advancement & Marketing Specialist.
- Write social media captions that speak to FCC's target audience. Support the FCC marketing team at live and online events.
- Support the Advancement & Marketing team with various communications needs and at special events and other projects as they develop.
