Position Summary
The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to Project Managers on single or multiple projects while also providing good customer service by providing timely responses on estimate requests and project updates.

The Assistant Project Manager will provide support to Project Managers on single or multiple projects while also providing good customer service by providing timely responses on estimate requests and project updates.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide quality estimates in a timely manner
- Assist PMs with analyzing projects to determine scope, schedule requirements, and coordinate with Purchasing and Installation on priorities to effectively bring project within budget and on schedule.
- Assist with expediting, reviews, and providing “Quality Control” on shop drawings and submittals.
- Work with Sr. PM to prepare, submit, obtain approval, verify and track billings until payment is received.
- Manage small projects and mock-ups requests for distributors under the lead of the Senior PM.
- Monitor the progress of the assigned projects via the Project/Document Control System, correspondence, job cost reports, progress billings, and field reports and keep Operations Manager informed of unresolved problems. Provide regular input to Operations Manager for projects at risk.
- Assist with pricing and processing change order proposals when required. Change order proposals are to be reviewed with Operations Manager.
- Assist with job costs and weekly updates with Sr. PM.
- Set up cost projections on a detailed spreadsheet for all projects managed and updated monthly.
- Assisting in Project start-ups forms to ensure PMs and Accounting are provided with necessary information to successfully manage projects.
- Provide Warranty Support / Follow-ups to ensure customer and owner satisfaction.
- Assist with Installation in completing the last 1% of the job and all punch lists, submit guarantees, warranties and owners’ manuals as required.
- Responding to miscellaneous inquiries from customers & sales representatives.
- Assisting in warehouse (as needed).
- Assisting in inventory control (along with warehouse supervisor).
Minimum Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma and 2+ years of experience in commercial construction
- Innovative/Critical thinker with strong numeric ability and reasoning
- Attentive to detail and organized
- Ability to read blueprints
- Proficient in MS Office Suite Applications
- Able to work in fast-paced, environment dealing with multiple team members
