The individual in this role will support services and work in the field throughout South Central Kansas. Employees will travel to our Ideatek office located at: 111 Old Mill Lane Buhler, Kansas for training, meetings and equipment.

Key Responsibilities (not Limited To)
- Perform independent fiber-to-the-home installations and ensure prompt repairs.
- Install and repair residential and business VoIP services.
- Diagnose and resolve customer connectivity and service problems.
- Provide an outstanding in-home/business customer experience through friendly, patient, and knowledgeable service regarding FTTP, gateways, and WiFi.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of aerial and underground fiber optic networks.
- Install service drops from the terminal to customer homes or businesses.
- Operate a bucket truck in a safe and efficient manner for aerial installations and repairs, strictly following all Department of Transportation (DOT) and OSHA safety guidelines.
- Adhere to all safety protocols as outlined in the company handbook.
- A strong aptitude for learning and a desire to grow your skills and knowledge.
- A self-motivated and proactive approach to your work.
- A high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- A strong sense of urgency and dedication to following through on all tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic work environment.
- Demonstrates a strong safety focus and consistently maintains safety measures.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation, which includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable and able to work in both underground and aerial environments (e.g., climbing ladders up to 32ft and operating a bucket truck).
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 80 lbs.
- Able to enter and safely operate a bucket truck with a weight limit of 300 lbs.
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.
- General knowledge of telecommunications services, including internet, wireless, and phone systems.
- Flexibility to work a Tuesday-Saturday schedule.
