Position Summary

The New Orleans Pelicans are seeking a skilled and motivated Shooter/Editor to join our Broadcast Production team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, live sports environment and has a passion for crafting compelling stories through high-quality video production. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of broadcast standards, editorial storytelling, and the technical expertise to shoot and edit content for linear TV and syndicated team programming.

What You'll Be Doing

• Develop a range of video features, including both short-form and long-form content, for distribution across Gulf Coast Sports & Entertainment, Pelicans+, and the New Orleans Pelicans’ internal marketing platforms
• Capture dynamic broadcast quality video footage at practices, games, press conferences, community events and exclusive access events
• Edit both long-form and short-form content for Broadcast TV including team features, player profiles, game recaps and behind the scenes footage
• Collaborate with producers, talent and graphics teams to deliver polished content for weekly shows, studio programming and game broadcasts
• Bring a vision to build engaging content across all team platforms including TV Broadcast, Radio Broadcast, Social and Digital Media
• Work closely with Digital Media, Basketball Communications, Corporate Partnerships, Community Relations and Marketing Teams to ensure quality, consistency, and creative flow of goals
• Participate in new content development including idea creation, research and concepts to help reach interpersonal goals
• Load, log and organize footage within a shared storage workflow for New Orleans Pelicans telecasts, Studio Shows and Ancillary Programming
• Stay on top of current events related to the New Orleans Pelicans
  
  

What You'll Bring

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in video production, shooting and editing in a broadcast or sports network environment
• Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity with broadcast workflows and media asset management systems
• Solid experience operating ENG and Broadcast-style cameras and working knowledge of professional audio gear
• Familiarity with special effects, 3D and compositing
• Understanding of storytelling, pacing and visual composition for a sports audience
• Comfortable conducting interviews and working closely with talent on-camera
• Position will be required to lift 25 lbs. and work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
• Travel is required in this position
