As our Plant Manager, you will report to the SVP of Operations and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and production of our manufacturing facility. This critical role involves managing the facility, coordinating processes to ensure compliance with LiquidStack's quality systems, safety, and customer expectations. You will be instrumental in learning new technologies that will improve and shape the data center industry.
We are seeking a leader with the following five key attributes:
As our Plant Manager, you will report to the SVP of Operations and be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation, maintenance, and production of our manufacturing facility. This critical role involves managing the facility, coordinating processes to ensure compliance with LiquidStack's quality systems, safety, and customer expectations. You will be instrumental in learning new technologies that will improve and shape the data center industry.
We are seeking a leader with the following five key attributes:
- Operational Excellence & Lean Manufacturing Champion: You will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating manufacturing operations, effectively utilizing all resources (people, material, and equipment) to deliver and maintain high customer service levels. A strong understanding and application of lean manufacturing principles are essential for designing, specifying, and validating world-class processes to achieve organizational goals.
- Financial Acumen & Cost Management: This role holds P&L responsibility for operations, including managing cost structures and indirect expenses. You will identify cost-savings, reduce capital costs, and mitigate risks while keeping sustainability in mind.
- Safety-First Leader: You will champion and model safety and health awareness and behaviors, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Active participation in Safety, Health & Environment programs is crucial to maintaining a high standard of workplace safety.
- Collaborative & Adaptive Communicator: This role requires strong collaboration with various teams, including HR for hiring and training needs, the PMO team to ensure customer requirements are achieved, and the Supply Chain team to ensure proper inventory, production control, shipping/receiving logistics, and quality procedures are in place. You must possess professional and strong written and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with diverse cultures and mind-sets in a global organization.
- Proactive Problem-Solver & Detail-Oriented Planner: You will need strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. The ability to prioritize tasks, meet critical deadlines, and maintain attention to detail while understanding the bigger picture are vital for success.
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates the operations of the manufacturing facility 15
- Effectively utilizes all resources (people, material, and equipment) to deliver and maintain high customer service levels.
- Champions and models safety and health awareness and behaviors that ensure compliance to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Applies lean manufacturing principles in designing, specifying, and validating world-class processes to achieve organizational goals; drives resolution and improvements as required.
- Responsible for the production line schedules in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, and financial budget.
- Responsible for Operations P&L, managing cost structures and indirect expenses whilst identifying cost-savings, reductions to capital costs, and mitigating risks while keeping in mind sustainability.
- Creates documentation protocols and ensures all records of operations are maintained and reviewed.
- Works directly with HR for hiring and training needs for the use of new equipment and/or production techniques and required safety to complete assigned units.
- Collaborates with PMO team to ensure customer requirements are achieved.
- In collaboration with the Supply Chain team, ensures the facility has proper inventory, production control scheduling, shipping/receiving logistics, and quality procedures in place.
- Accountable for reliability and maintenance activities to maintain and improve equipment and facility condition.
- Provides support for cross-functional audits as required.
- Actively participates in Safety, Health & Environment programs to ensure a high standard of workplace safety.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Business, or other related discipline required.
- 8+ years of operations/management experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office suite is required; general tech-savvy.
