Located in South Gate, Dickson Testing Company, Inc. is a full-service destructive testing laboratory serving aerospace and metallic producers worldwide. Our laboratories serve our customers with metallurgical, mechanical, corrosion, and chemical testing services. In support of these services our facility provides complete specimen fabrication, cut off services and heat treat capability.
Position Summary
The Quality Specialist is responsible for monitoring and improving the quality of our operational processes and outputs. The Quality Specialist’s responsibilities include reviewing test results and supporting documentation to validate pass/failure in accordance with Internal Quality / Test Procedures and Customer PO /Specification requirements. A successful Quality Specialist has excellent troubleshooting skills and can ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards. This position reports directly to the Quality Manager.

- Comply with PCC Code of Conduct Requirements and all PCC Cardinal Rules (e.g. Quality and Safety).
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Quality Alerts, create and distribute.
- Supplier: Manage SCAR’s for nonconforming supplier products and services.
- Monitor and analyze quality performance.
- Monitor quality control activities and processes at suppliers. Review and analyze corrective action and non-conformance data to eliminate non-conformance.
- Address quality inquiries and concerns from our customer and their representatives/
- Participate with customer audits, work collaboratively with customers to identify quality gaps, ensure corrective action resolution, and oversee continual improvement activities to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Perform and lead internal audit activity to identify process enhancements and ensure compliance with QMS.
- Participate in all 6S programs.
- Assist with training production staff in the implementation of QMS and inspection procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A degree from an accredited institution in quality, mechanical engineering or industrial engineering is preferred but not required.
- 2+ years of relevant work experience is required in quality engineering, quality assurance, or relevant / similar role.
- Experience working in the aerospace industry is preferred but not required.
- ASQ certification preferred but not required.
- Bilingual (Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Experienced with Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
