Summary
The Unit Support Representative collaborates with team members to fulfill customer and patient care area needs. This role encompasses basic clerical duties such as phone answering and filing, and effective communication via established systems. The representative demonstrates sensitivity to diverse age groups and patients with disabilities. Additionally, they assist in coordinating patient services across departments, requiring strong organization, attention to detail, and adaptability to a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Responds to incoming calls, record messages, and guide inquiries to the relevant staff members.
Supports medical personnel by paging specialists, hospitalists, and other necessary individuals.
Enter various codes (e.g., code white, code neuro) into the Vocera system.
Perform basic data entry tasks related to patient care and hospital operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with hospital protocols.
Serves as the liaison between the unit and other departments within the hospital.
