Position: Construction Manager
Location: CalFire Helitack Base in Chino, CA
Salary Range: $140,000 - $170,000 per year plus benefits
About The Project
$22M CalFire Helitack Base in Chino, CA. This project is a new Helitack base on the existing site, to include an aircraft hangar w/foam suppression system capable of enclosing a multi-blade helicopter, warehouse/shop building, a garage to enclose support vehicles, a 26-bed barracks building, a helicopter training tower/hoist, and two helipads. The scope of work will include necessary grading and drainage, above ground fuel storage and dispensing facilities, water tank and fire suppression pump system, asphalt paving, sidewalks, curbs, wash rack, flammable storage, landscaping, lighting, solar power, fencing, water, electrical power including generator, solar power, LPG/natural gas, telephone cabling/installation, radio cabling/installation and associated appurtenances. CAL FIRE plans to continue to use the existing helipad during construction. This project will be designed to meet the requirements of LEED Silver.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- 10 years of Construction Management experience
- Client communication
- Weekly meetings
- Project cost tracking and management
- Project schedule monitoring
- Quality assurance (QA)
- Monthly reporting
- Review of GC submittals
- Response to RFIs (Requests for Information)
- Problem-solving support
- Engage with Clients (DGS/CalFire)
- Collaborate with project designer
- Coordinate with State Inspector
- Work with General Contractor (TBD) to address and resolve issues proactively for project success
- Construction Management Certification (CCM)
- CalFire Project Experience
- DGS Project Experience
