What would you do?
The Minnesota Timberwolves are seeking an Assistant Equipment Manager to assist with the management of inventory, staff, and vendors to ensure equipment needs for Timberwolves players and staff are met in a responsive and responsible manner.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other
Experience: 2+ years similar experience. Professional sports preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Specialized Knowledge, Licenses, etc.: Knowledge of the professional sports industry, as well as experience working in professional, minor league, or college sports is preferred.
Supervisory Responsibility, if any: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: The base salary range for this exempt role is $55,000-60,000. Final offers for this role will be made within the parameters of the salary range provided. Years of experience, skills, and other factors are considered when determining the salary offered. Total compensation & offer package will include the following:
Benefits: Regular full-time employees have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, health saving accounts with an employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, and life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance. Additional benefits may include employer-paid short/long-term disability plans, generous fitness and well-being benefits, work-related reimbursements, and fully paid family/caregiver leave. Regular full-time employees start with 11 Holidays, at least 20 paid PTO days, 2 Volunteer days, and 4 Personal Holidays in each calendar year.
Work Environment This role is based in a dynamic and fast-paced sports environment. In addition to standard daytime hours, availability is required for all Minnesota Timberwolves home games and select away games. The position involves active, on-your-feet work and takes place primarily within a sports arena setting, which includes navigating bleachers and stairs and working in areas with moderate to high noise levels.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate and exchange information with others both in person and over the telephone. The employee frequently is required to remain in a stationary position, as well as operate computers and other office equipment, such as a copy machine, printer and telephone. Staff will frequently ascend and descend bleachers/steps and traverse around the arena both on event days and non-event days. Staff may occasionally move objects weighing up to 50 pounds
Travel: This role will require travel to out of state games

- Receive and track inventory for all apparel orders.
- Maintain an organized equipment room including additional storage spaces.
- Ensure locker rooms are organized and properly stocked.
- Manage the set-up for games and practices.
- Assist as the point of contact for visiting team practices and shoot arounds.
- Assist with the management and training of team attendants.
- Oversee the daily laundry for Timberwolves players and coaches.
- Assist with issuing equipment and fulfilling requests from Timberwolves players and staff.
- Assist the Head Equipment Manager with other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And Other
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Service-oriented.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to create and maintain relationships.
