Pay Range:
$58,000-$76,000
This position is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.

What You Will Do
- Monitors and processes response for security events during normal business hours and participate in the on-call rotation for after-hours security event response as a member of a team.
- Under the guidance of senior analysts, participates in threat hunting, monitoring, and event handling activities during normal business hours and participates in the on-call rotation after-hours.
- Stays current with new threats and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), leveraging them to improve detection and response capabilities.
- Works with senior cybersecurity operations center (CSOC) analysts to help continuously optimize and mature the CSOC technology stack, architecture, capabilities, and programs.
- Assists in cyber investigations including suspicious files analysis across applications, networks, and endpoints, including memory and disk forensics, to determine maliciousness, e.g., Windows utilities, as well as targeted malware and zero-day attacks.
- Helps coordinate a cohesive and repeatable process designed to remediate existing threats and anticipate new attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures.
- Engages in other duties as needed that support Alliant Energy’s Values and helps deliver on our Purpose to serve customers and build stronger communities.
- Associate Degree Information Technology Preferred
- 1 year of information security work experience
- Experience driving measurable improvement in monitoring and response capabilities at scale.
- Experience working with SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, security automation and orchestration solutions, intrusion detection and prevention systems (IDS/IPS), file integrity monitoring (FIM), DLP and other network and system monitoring tools.
- 1 year of information security monitoring and response or security operation center experience highly recommended.
- Display an in-depth understanding of new trends and technologies related to IT security and compliance, and contribute to the company IT security strategy and roadmap.
- Knowledge of a variety of Internet protocols.
- Working knowledge/experience with network systems, security principles, applications and risk and compliance initiatives such as Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA), Payment Card Industry (PCI), Health Information Portability and Accountability Ace (HIPAA), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
