Job Description

The Coordinator I, Quality Records position is responsible for organizing and managing records that are submitted to the Records Management department for archival. Tasks include facility-wide records coordination, storage, preservation, and disposition of records according to legal and regulatory requirements. The contract timeline is 6 months to 1 year.

Job Duties

  • Prepare completed physical records for storage and electronic conversion
  • Perform imaging/scanning of paper records onsite and transfer electronic records to archival system
  • Perform quality checks on scanned images to verify document readability and completeness
  • Prioritize storage activities according to project activities and ensure that daily work is completed in a timely manner
  • Organize and classify records for off-site storage
  • Maintain appropriate logs and records for indexing
  • Adhere to record storage policies
  • Assist multiple sites with records duties (Plymouth, Roseville, and St. Paul, Minnesota)
  • Work with Documentation Services on various projects to support active records
  • Assist customers requesting record information (may involve searching for and / or retrieval of records).

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma / GED or an equivalent combination of education and work

Experience

  • Preferred 1-2 years of experience in records management, preferably in a regulated industry
  • Knowledge of systems (Record Information Management Systems, Iron Mountain)
  • Requires basic data entry skills
  • Able to contribute to a department problem-solving team.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Able to work in a geographically diverse business environment.
  • Able to lift and move banker boxes around 30 pounds
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines in timely manner.
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
  • Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Teams)
  • Prior medical device experience preferred
  • Travel required within 25-mile radius
