Key Responsibilities
- Safely mix and apply pesticides and fertilizers according to regulations.
- Accurately read and interpret water meters for chemical applications.
- Identify plant diseases, pests, and treatment methods based on research and testing.
- Collect and send samples to approved laboratories for analysis when needed.
- Maintain and ensure proper use of chemicals and equipment.
- Keep equipment and shop areas clean, organized, and safe.
- Assist with customer estimates for chemical services.
- Work in collaboration with other departments, including mowing, irrigation, landscaping, holiday lighting, and snow removal.
- Follow all company and environmental safety regulations.
- Maintain flexible scheduling, including some Saturdays.
- Ability to mix chemicals per manufacturer specifications.
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Physical ability to push/pull up to 150 lbs. and walk several miles per day.
- Strong English comprehension skills (reading, writing, and math).
- Willingness to obtain necessary licensing (company provides study materials and covers testing costs).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Two or more years of experience in chemical application or a related field.
