LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY: The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive training programs to enhance employee skills and performance. This role involves assessing organizational needs, developing strategic learning initiatives, and ensuring impactful educational experiences.

Primary Focus: Employee training, development, and career progression.

  • Oversee the Learning and Development program.
  • Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus groups to identify training needs.
  • Develop and maintain career ladders and training plans.
  • Collaborate with the employment specialist to organize and present onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Create and acquire training manuals, guides, and course materials. Ensure training programs are delivered through various formats (OTJ, group discussions, facilitator-led, computer-based, videos).
  • Manage the internal learning management system.
  • Keep employees informed about learning and development programs.
  • Maintain records of training activities, attendance, and assessments.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends in training and development.
  • Manage specialist training, tuition assistance, and continuing education.
  • Lead internal continuing education initiatives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has zero to 1 employee depending on the needs of the program and company over time.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree in human resource administration or other relevant field OR 4 years of relevant progressive human resource experience with experience in developing learning and development initiatives.

Must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel up to 15% of the time.
