Job Background

We need accounting team members who are up to the challenge of supporting this world-class organization to develop, implement and maintain GAAP compliant accounting practices and processes to meet current needs and growth plans. Senior Accountant Job Responsibilities

  • Participate in preparing monthly and periodic financial statements. Ensure timeliness of reporting with a high degree of accuracy and in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
  • Complete general and cost accounting transactions and activities. Ensure integrity of general ledger. Perform billing, collections, accounts payable and other accounting transactions as directed.
  • Suggest workflow improvements and efficiencies and document accounting policies and procedures while ensuring proper internal controls.
  • Participate in budget, cash flow and financial analysis reporting as directed.
  • Take responsibility for the integrity of data interfaces with Company ERP system and other internal systems and participate in developing improved workflows.
  • Support Controller in ensuring compliance with taxation requirements, local, state and federal government requirements.
  • Provide feedback on the adequacy of current financial systems. Support system upgrades and actively participate in any new accounting system implementations.
  • Update job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations and participating in educational opportunities.

Education, Experience, And Skill Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business and finance, with a concentration in accounting courses, or equivalent experience or certification.
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in an accounting role.
  • Highly proficient with accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Enterprise, Netsuite, and/or comparable accounting software.
  • Good interpersonal skills and comfortable working in a supportive team environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a major plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office suite required.
  • Solid GAAP and financial reporting technical skills.
  • Experience operating in a high growth environment is desirable.
  • Full time in office required.

Compensation based on experience.
