Summary

Responsible for assuring daily operations of the Wastewater Treatment plant office are performed properly and in a timely manner. Also responsible for completing inventory database checks and updates, as well as responsible for orders being pulled and handling of materials.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 3:00pm

Pay Range: Starting at $20 an hour

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Fill materials orders required for daily operations, as well as kit materials required for repair/maintenance projects.
  • Deliver materials to user departments as required.
  • Assist customers with inquires and material orders.
  • Maintain stock materials that have been received into inventory and verify and restock materials that are to be returned.
  • File and maintain inventory records and provide reports to management as needed.
  • Provide office support including answering incoming calls, providing confirmation emails or faxes and completing paperwork.
  • Assist customers at service counter or via written or verbal request; reviews orders, selects items from shelves, and replenishes stock.
  • Receive deliveries from vendors, as well as check deliveries for damage and accuracy.
  • Perform cycle counts and spot inventories of all warehouse items.
  • Complete related documentation as required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (G.E.D.) 3 years related experience in purchasing and accounting

Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Up to 1 year advanced study or training beyond the high school level
  • 3-5 years related experience in purchasing and accounting

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Good customer service and telephone etiquette skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Skill in using Microsoft Office (including; Access, Excel, Outlook and Word)
  • Skill in operating office equipment
  • Skill operating mail processing machine
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to keep accurate and up-to-date records

Licenses and Certifications

  • Valid Class C Texas driver's license
