Description

The J is hiring energetic Coaches for the Summer Soccer camps. Our Coaches oversee all aspects of the youth soccer camp, which can include serving as a customer service point-of-contact, coach, or referee. The J’s soccer program emphasizes skill development, fun, safety and convenience, and teaches the value of good sportsmanship. Experience as a coach/player/referee is preferred, but not mandatory.

Schedule

July Jam Soccer Camp (1st-4th)

  • June 30-July 3*(M-Th), 9:15-11:45 am

Next Level Soccer Camp (3rd-7th Grade)

  • July 14-18, 9:15-11:45 am

Fall Kick-Off Soccer Camp (1st-4th Grade)

  • Aug 4-8, 9:15-11:45 am

Pay: $22-25.00 per hour depending on experience

Essential Functions

  • Run and implement soccer camps ranging from skill work to small-sided scrimmages for ages 6-12
  • Coach age/skill level- appropriate soccer drills and games during the camps
  • Will be required to be capable of implementing curriculum on their own with no supervision
  • Foster an encouraging and positive environment for young athletes
  • Demonstrate professionalism and responsibility when interacting with players and families
  • Supervise children ages 6 to 12 years old

Requirements

  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Experience as a coach/referee/player is preferred
  • Knowledge of soccer and its rules
  • Able to work a flexible schedule
  • Must have reliable transportation

Physical Requirements

  • Constant standing, walking and exposure to the weather outdoors
  • Frequent walking/running, eye/hand/foot coordination, talking and hearing to demonstrate and execute skills
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs. to move equipment as needed
