Role: Cultivates and improves employees' professional growth and job proficiency through the development of dynamic learner-centric training programs with techniques consistent to Rogue Credit Union's organizational priorities. Collaborates with internal teams to create and maintain online courses, videos, and assessments. Supports curation and delivery of off-the-shelf content to fit the credit union's needs.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
E50%Design and develop e-learning modules, courses, and curricula using various instructional design methodologies. Produce training videos, assessments, and other instructional media consistent with Rogue’s organizational priorities. Utilizes content authoring tools, video, image, and audio editors to create learning experiences for staff.
E20%Analyze and evaluate training effectiveness and make recommendations for improvement. Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop and update training materials.
E15%Designs and delivers instructor-led training as requested. Trains, reviews, and supports Employee Development team members in the development of online content.
E5%Provides backup LMS administrative, learner, and supervisor support.
E5%Stays current with industry trends, methods, and technologies. Research, evaluate, and implement new learning tools and strategies. Makes recommendations for technology updates and content delivery channels. Compiles and reports findings.
N5%Proactively performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge And Skills
Experience: Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
Education: 1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
Interpersonal Skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
Other Skills: Demonstrates high-level proficiency with instructional design and eLearning authoring tools. Demonstrates a strong understanding and ability to apply adult learning theory and instructional design principles. Demonstrates strong lesson and curriculum-building skills. Great keyboarding skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Products. Excellent verbal and written communication, and composition and editing skills with an eye for design, quality, creativity, and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Able to view programs from the learner's perspective to create the best learning experiences. Dependable and can maintain confidentiality.
Physical Requirements: Some adjusting or moving objects up to 30 pounds in all directions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and fingers while using a computer. Communicating with others to exchange information. Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and make fine discernments in sound. Close and continuous visual acuity to perform activities such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading.
Work Environment: Exposed to potentially hazardous conditions, i.e., robbery. This position requires flexibility in scheduling tasks and projects. The employee must independently monitor hours and judge the time needed to be spent on applicable duties. Employee must be capable of proactively adjusting to unpredictable schedules. This position may require attendance at meetings or events in the evenings and on weekends. Travel to the credit union facilities/regions may be required.
