Happy Egg is growing fast, and we are looking for a Layer Service Supervisor who's passionate about supporting current and future Happy Growers raise Happy Hens successfully. Candidates must live within a 50-mile radius of Jonesboro, Arkansas, or be willing to relocate to the area.This region offers a strong agricultural community, affordable living, and easy access to both rural and urban amenities.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage a regional group of contract layer growers, ensuring each farm operates in accordance with Happy Egg animal welfare, production, and compliance standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for growers in your assigned region, providing ongoing technical and operational guidance to optimize hen health, egg production, and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with the vertical integration, live production, and compliance teams to align goals, share insights, and support strategic initiatives.
  • Support onboarding and training for new growers, clearly communicating Happy Egg expectations and standards, including American Humane Certification requirements.
  • Conduct regular farm visits to observe operations, identify opportunities for improvement, and coach growers on best practices related to flock care, nutrition, housing, lighting, ventilation, and record-keeping.
  • Monitor performance metrics, analyze production and welfare data, and make actionable recommendations to drive continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the Compliance Team to educate, guide, and ensure grower adherence to American Humane Certified and Happy Egg animal welfare standards.
  • Assist with internal audits and third-party certification readiness by maintaining strong documentation and coaching growers through corrective action plans, when needed.
  • Oversee and support the coordination of new barn construction or renovations with growers, builders, and internal teams to ensure timelines, specs, and certification requirements are met.
  • Lead regional planning efforts for flock placements, ensuring barns are ready and biosecurity protocols are followed.
  • Communicate regularly with Happy Egg leadership on regional performance, grower engagement, and production outcomes.
  • Participate in company-wide initiatives and cross-functional meetings to represent grower needs and identify operational gaps or opportunities.
  • Coach and mentor junior service technicians, when applicable, to build future talent and ensure consistent grower support across regions.

What You’ll Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor's degree in poultry science or related field OR a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in commercial poultry production, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Strong working knowledge of poultry production principles, with the ability to translate that knowledge into field-based coaching and operational improvements
  • Experience working with animal welfare certifications and compliance programs (e.g., American Humane Certified, Certified Humane, USDA Organic, etc.)
  • Live within a 50-mile radius of Jonesboro, Arkansas, or be willing to relocate to that region
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to farm sites regularly
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment in the field
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a collaborative mindset and the ability to foster trust-based relationships with growers
  • Comfortable navigating conflict, problem-solving, and delivering constructive feedback
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, digital data tools, and farm management software is a plus

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in commercial poultry industry
  • 1-3 years leadership experience to lead a team of field technicians
  • Daily travel to nearby contract Happy Egg Farmers
  • Travel to corporate office in Rogers, AR 4-6 times per year
