W HAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Engineering Intern (Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical preferred) is based at our Las Vegas, NV branch. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement lean methodologies.

Much like you, our founder, Don Jensen was looking for a way to support his family, so he started his Company in 1968. Since founded, we’ve been supporting communities across Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, and Hawaii.
Jensen Infrastructure likely has an impact on your daily life. We build culverts to take water away from your neighborhoods, underground utility boxes to hold cables, and manholes to allow workers access to the sewers deep below the roads we drive on. W HAT YOU’LL BE DOING
The Engineering Intern (Industrial, Civil, or Mechanical preferred) is based at our Las Vegas, NV branch. As a Continuous Improvement Engineer Intern, you will work closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to analyze existing processes, identify improvement opportunities, and implement lean methodologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the identification and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies, root cause analyses, and workflow assessments.
- Assist in the development and deployment of Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S principles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track KPIs and develop reports.
- Participate in Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops.
- Document processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement tools is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with data visualization tools is a bonus.
