Duties
- Develop and implement nutritious meal plans tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences.
- Supervise kitchen staff and ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Conduct patient assessments to evaluate dietary requirements and monitor changes in health status.
- Manage budgeting for food services, ensuring efficient use of resources while maintaining quality.
- Provide health coaching to residents, offering guidance on nutrition and healthy eating habits.
- Oversee tube feeding protocols for residents requiring specialized nutritional support.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to integrate dietary plans into overall patient care strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of dietary services, including menus, inventory, and compliance documentation.
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager CDM
- Strong knowledge of aliment and nutrition principles relevant to skilled nursing environment.
- Proficient in budgeting and resource management within a dietary context.
- Experience in supervising staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
- In-depth understanding of physiology as it relates to nutrition and health.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on motivating and guiding team members.
- Competence in conducting patient assessments to tailor dietary interventions effectively.
- Familiarity with tube feeding procedures and protocols for patients requiring specialized care.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare teams.
