This Position Reports To

Service & Training Manager

B&R is seeking a Service Engineer to join our U.S. team. You’ll be hands-on in the field, executing onsite engineering work safely and efficiently while delivering top-tier customer support. Working closely with clients and internal teams, you’ll tackle real-world challenges, uncover new service opportunities, and keep things moving. Every day brings something new, keeping the work dynamic, engaging, and full of learning.

This role is contributing to the Machine Automation division in the US. The ideal candidate will re-side within commuting distance of our Alpharetta, Georgia, office and have the ability to travel 50 -75% of the time. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers.

You Will Be Mainly Accountable For

  • Promote safety and environmental best practices, report hazards, and foster a strong safety culture.
  • Plan and execute service work that exceeds customer expectations
  • Resolve technical challenges and implement effective solutions both onsite and remotely.
  • Enhance system performance through application improvements, coding, and operational efficiency recommendations.
  • Deliver technical training to peers and customers, focusing on a "first-time right" approach and continuous process improvement.
  • Support sales by identifying service-related opportunities and preparing accurate reports and material lists.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Interest in the automation/manufacturing space
  • Excellent time management skills; strong communication and training skills
  • This position will require travel 50% -75%
  • Preferred: Experience with industrial PLC, industrial networks, working in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment, professional training
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
