Job Description: As a Surveillance Investigator at Frasco Investigative Services, you will be responsible for conducting insurance claims and private investigations, performing surveillance and activity checks, and developing actionable investigative plans. Essential Job Functions
- Represent the company professionally, maintaining high standards of communication and appearance
- Conduct insurance claims and private investigations efficiently and thoroughly
- Perform surveillance and activity checks, obtaining and documenting video footage and relevant information
- Develop investigative action plans or follow management-provided action plans
- Obtain video footage, review and document notes, including identification shots and subject activities
- Use legal investigative means to gather information and take appropriate investigative actions
- Prepare precise, comprehensive reports with timestamps and supporting evidence for legal use
- Upload investigative details, evidence, and media through a secure portal
- Utilize various surveillance equipment and technology to enhance investigative capabilities
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal guidelines during all surveillance activities
- Adapt to changing circumstances and maintain flexibility in work hours to accommodate investigative priorities, including irregular shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Attend and testify at hearings as required
- Train additional investigators, if necessary
- Other duties as assigned

- Proficiency in computer usage
- Ability to model behaviors reflecting Frasco's core values.
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Reliable vehicle which meets criteria for covert surveillance
- Minimum auto insurance in the amount of $100,000 each person/$300,000 each accident bodily injury/$50,000 property damage
- Digital camera, covert camera, Smartphone, computer or laptop, software for video upload with time/date stamp, good internet connection
- State PI licensing, if applicable
While not required, the following skills and experience are preferred:
- Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
- Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
- Military background
- Insurance experience
- Investigations experience
- Ability to conduct surveillance both indoors and outdoors, which may involve walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods
- Proficient driving skills and the capability to operate a vehicle safely and effectively
- Ability to drive for extended periods, sometimes in varying weather and traffic conditions
- Capability to move swiftly and discreetly to observe subjects
- Strong visual observation skills and visual acuity to monitor subjects, surroundings, and capture relevant details during surveillance activities
- Ability to maintain focus and alertness to gather accurate and comprehensive visual information
- Proficiency in handling and operating surveillance equipment, including digital and covert cameras, to capture high-quality footage and evidence effectively.
- Maintain a minimum standard of obtaining video footage is required at a rate of 45% for each activity and 5.00 minutes of video for every 8 hours worked
- Investigators should obtain covert video 25% of the amount of time our subject is in action inside a facility that is accessible to the general public. For example, if the subject is in a store for 100 minutes, the expectation is 25 minutes of covert video
- Lost subject rates will not exceed 8%
- Burned subject rates will not exceed 3%
- Updates/summaries will be competed on the same date the surveillance is performed
- Reports and video will be submitted on the same date as the final day of surveillance
