Minimum Qualifications

  • Valid 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit/Teaching Credential or a *bachelor's degree.
    • If you do not have an existing sub permit or teaching credential, but have a bachelor’s degree, we will assist you in obtaining a 30-Day Substitute Teaching Permit.
    • Note: Incomplete applications will not be considered.

    Upon Conditional Offer of Employment:
  • Department of Justice (DOJ) Criminal Background Check
  • TB Test within the past 60 days (Education Code 49406, Assembly Bill 1667)
  • AB 2534
  • Complete district trainings: Mandated Reporter, Sexual Harassment, etc.
  • Valid CA Driver’s License
  • STEDI Training Certification and Annual FCUSD Substitute Training.
    • Certification provided by FCUSD prior to appointment.
