Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients across all market segments.
  • Identify project opportunities and secure new truss orders through proactive business development.
  • Understand and communicate technical truss design concepts and structural solutions to builders, architects, and engineers.
  • Prepare and present detailed proposals and cost estimates.
  • Collaborate with internal design and production teams to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Track market trends, construction project timelines, and competitor activities.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking meetings to grow your client base and stay ahead of market demands.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in truss
  • Proficiency with truss design software (e.g., Alpine or MiTek). (Alpine preferable)
  • Proven experience in truss sales, with established industry contacts.
  • Understanding of structural systems and construction processes.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and architectural plans.
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and highly organized.
  • Ability to manage long sales cycles and large accounts.
  • No formal license required-industry training or certifications are a plus.

Schedule

  • Full-time, remote position with visits to client and project sites.
  • Monday through Friday

Work Location:

  • Location based Romulus, MI - Travel is required for client meetings and site visits. (local to South East Michigan region)
