Job Summary
This position pays $17.75 per hour with $4.93 Health and Welfare (H&W). Both of these are subject to change. Perform duties requiring knowledge of office systems and procedures. Clerical duties may be assigned in accordance with the Veteran Affair guidelines, policies, and procedures.
Primary Duties

- Prepare electronic imprinted photos for veteran identification card (VIC), utilizing the data card system.
- Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voicemail systems, and personal computers.
- Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs.
- Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records, or reports.
- Maintain patient confidence by keeping patient record information confidential.
- Adhere to all fire and safety, bomb threats, and security protocol regulations within assigned area.
- Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
- Serve and protect the hospital community by adhering to professional standards, hospital policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements as well as Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Organizations (JACHO) standards.
- High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.
- 1 year experience in high demand and fast-paced environment preferred.
- 1 year experience with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) preferred.
- Must be able to obtain a VA security clearance.
- Well organized and self-directed.
- Detail-oriented and able to carry out work with a high-level accuracy.
