Job Summary:

Our clinic, Platinum Therapy, is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) to provide school-based therapy services to students with disabilities or developmental delays to support their ability to participate in and benefit from educational programs. The OT collaborates with teachers, parents, and other school staff to develop and implement strategies and interventions that improve students’ academic and functional performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations of students referred for occupational therapy services.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans and goals as part of the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team.
  • Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to eligible students in various school settings (e.g., classrooms, therapy rooms).
  • Document therapy sessions, student progress, and outcomes in accordance with school district and state guidelines.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, speech and physical therapists, psychologists, and special education staff.
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team meetings, and parent conferences as required.
  • Train and support school staff in implementing strategies that promote student independence and participation.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and classroom modifications when appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and district regulations and standards.


Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR/L).
  • Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Previous pediatric or school-based experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.


Work Environment:

  • School-based environment including general and special education classrooms.
  • Travel between school sites may be required (if district has multiple schools).
