The Chief of Staff to the CEO plays a critical role in ensuring strategic alignment, project execution, and operational efficiency across the company.
Position Summary
The Chief of Staff (COS) is a high-impact, strategic role that enables the CEO to operate at maximum effectiveness across a rapidly expanding, private equity–backed healthcare business. Serving as a key liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders, this individual will manage high-priority projects, oversee key initiatives, and support enterprise-level decision-making processes. This role requires a unique combination of executive administrative excellence and operational leadership.

Key Responsibilities
Executive & Strategic Support
- Act as a strategic advisor and thought partner to the CEO, managing time, communications, and engagements to align with enterprise priorities.
- Maintain and prioritize the CEO’s calendar, ensuring optimal time allocation across internal operations, external partnerships, and strategic planning.
- Coordinate all CEO communications, including managing inboxes, responding on behalf of the CEO where appropriate, and flagging urgent issues.
- Act as a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO and senior leadership team, ensuring transparency and clarity on expectations and deliverables.
- Lead or coordinate CEO-driven projects and company-wide initiatives, ensuring timely progress, quality outcomes, and executive visibility.
- Monitor cross-functional project alignment and execution, helping to identify potential risks and proactively resolve issues.
- Support operationalizing next steps following leadership meetings, ensuring clear ownership and follow-through.
- Prepare high-quality materials for board meetings, investor updates, and executive leadership sessions.
- Collaborate with functional leads to develop presentation content, gather strategic data, and coordinate meeting logistics.
- Track key follow-ups and ensure accountability post-meetings, including Board of Directors and private equity sponsor interactions.
- Partner with HR and Marketing to facilitate CEO touchpoints with teams.
- Support messaging for strategic initiatives, reinforcing cultural values and enhancing transparency across the company.
- Draft, proof, and edit internal and external communications, ensuring brand alignment and clarity of voice.
- Oversee processes that support smooth operation of the CEO’s office, including expense management, travel coordination, and document handling.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance executive team productivity and reduce inefficiencies.
- Leverage Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite for streamlined execution of tasks, documents, and reports.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; preference for candidates with academic backgrounds in business, healthcare, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience with strategic consulting experience in a top tier consulting firm, strategic planning and execution
- Prior exposure to private equity–backed or multi-site healthcare organizations is strongly preferred.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Proven capability to interact effectively with C-suite executives, board members, private equity sponsors, and senior-level staff.
- High business acumen with an understanding of core operational functions including finance, marketing, data analytics, and clinical operations.
- Strong communicator—both written and verbal—with experience drafting executive content and shaping messaging for diverse audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
- Proactive, resourceful, and highly self-motivated.
- Demonstrates sound judgment, diplomacy, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment.
- Comfortable working independently and within a distributed leadership team.
- Ability to travel occasionally (approximately 10–20%) as business needs arise.
