- Valid Administrative Credential
- Possession of one of the following valid California credentials: special education, clinical or rehabilitative services, or a school psychologist specialization, or related field.
- Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential.
- Master’s degree in special education, speech pathology, school psychology or related field.
- Advanced training and/or related experience in the education of individuals with exceptional needs MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five (5) years of special education experience. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS-EXPERIENCE:
- Extensive experience working with teachers and/or students with one or more areas of major
- disabling conditions and/or social and emotional developmental issues.
- Knowledge and experience in effective general education and special education methodologies,
- instructional techniques, assessments, and positive behavioral interventions.
- Familiarity with interagency relationships, and effective methods of program coordination and
- meeting facilitation.
- Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the Individual Education Plan (IEP) including a strong
- working knowledge of the Special Education Information System (SEIS) program.
- Experience in consultation and/or supervision of school personnel.
- Experience in coordination of professional development in special education or related field.
