Position Overview
The Patient Access Manager Supervises and coordinates the activities of the patient access department to ensure efficient and accurate patient scheduling, registration, and admissions. The Manager develops and implements policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency as well as monitors and ensures compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. The Patient Access Manager trains and supports staff in their daily duties and promotes continuous professional development. The Manager resolves any patient complaints or issues related to their access to healthcare services and works closely with other healthcare professionals and departments to ensure seamless patient care. The Patient Access Manager ensures accurate patient records, including insurance and payment information along with HIPAA compliance. The Manager participates in financial management such as setting department goals and setting KPI's and improvement plans when needed.

Education
- High School diploma or equivalent, required
- Post-secondary degree in business, healthcare or equivalent experience, preferred
- Previous supervisory experience, required
- Five (5) years of healthcare experience, preferred.
- Two(2) years of experience in supervisory or management roles, preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Self-motivated and self starting
- Training and education
