EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Project Manager for our Chicopee, MA facility. We are currently recruiting for a Project Manager to manage assigned jobs at our Chicopee facility located in Chicopee, MA. Activities will vary based on the scope of work and complexity of the jobs. The Project Manager is responsible for managing facility projects starting at the point of hand-over from commercial and through completion and close-out. The role will work with shop operations and will provide updates as required to the customer or assigned Power Plant Services Project Manager (internal customer). Measures of success include customer satisfaction, on time delivery, achieving project margins, and timely/accurate reporting of financial forecasting for assigned projects.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as single point of contact to the customer or the internal Power Plant Services Project Manager ensuring that that they are kept informed, and that all technical and commercial needs are met in accordance with the customer Critical to Quality (CTQ) scope expectations.
  • Prepare, submit, and manage contract deliverables including but not limited to planning documents, schedules, Status reports, inspection/final reports, notices, invoices, Change Order Requests (COR’s), management of change (MOC) and other deliverables as required.
  • Maintain Project Scorecards in Salesforce for all assigned projects. Updating financials, dates, and status on a weekly basis.
  • Identify out of scope customer requests and communicate resolution with the Project Manager.
  • Liaison with senior management on as needed basis throughout project life cycle.
  • Track project actual costs versus planned costs and report on project margins.
  • Attend production meetings and monitor performance to the due date. Proactively communicate and take required actions on any schedule changes that will impact customer delivery.
  • Communicates the project needs to production.
  • Initiate invoicing via milestones or percentage of completion (POC) and resolve payment issues.
  • Balance shop capabilities, capacity and delivery with facility leadership and project management’s expectations.
  • As the customer advocate in the shop, drive the shop’s performance to achieve the project schedule.

Required Skills / Knowledge

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, Projects, and Powerpoint

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience with high-speed turbo-machinery with a background in fabrication, manufacturing, or repair. Scopes are generally related to power facilities for power producers and industrial facilities in the Power, Oil & Gas and Pulp & Paper sectors. Major equipment for scopes of work covers gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors as well as other rotating equipment.
  • A minimum of five years’ relevant experience, with a minimum of two years in a Project Management position.
  • Experience in managing contract scope and objectives and translating to efficient project execution.
  • Proven track record in managing conflict in projects to a positive resolution.
  • Demonstrated track record in motivating and inspiring internal and external project team members to cultivate and build collaborative relationships with colleagues & customers.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement with the ability to think on a strategic level as well as a tactical level is required to drive solutions within a matrix organization.
  • Experience in using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems with preference for Epicor.

Education Requirements

  • A BSME or BA with 5-6 years of related experience is preferred. Non-degreed candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Recognized and accredited professional project management training and certification, PMI, PMP, or equivalent is a nice to have but not a requirement

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to move about shop and use standard office equipment.
