What Does a Successful Scrum Master Do At Fiserv

As a Scrum Master you are responsible to support and coach Agile teams of our Contact Service Technology (CST) by empowering them and providing methods and to enable quality delivery while maintaining a focus on the continuous improvement. You will plan, coordinate, and monitor medium to large sized scope and budget projects as well as partner with key business stakeholders to ensure a successful start-up and completion of a project. Responsible for removing impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of the CST’s goals and preserving flexibility and ability to respond to changes on the team. Lead the enhancement of best practices in relation to a high-performance team’s processes, artifacts and tools. Collaborates with other teams and assists the organization with launching, stabilizing and optimizing program-level and portfolio-level teams while adapting and promoting Agile frameworks, principles and practices.

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with Contact Service Technology (CST) and Client Care Organization (CCO), as well as other Fiserv divisions, to undertake diverse assignments that align with the needs, interests, and priorities of the business unit.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of assigned projects within the Contact Service Technology (CST) portfolio.
  • Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, progress and relevant team data necessary to provide maximum team transparency.
  • Partner with and coach CST teams to achieve maximum project return on investment and meet PI objectives and milestones. Work with different teams to plan ahead and prioritize work.
  • Identify upstream/downstream dependencies and support the team in risk management. Identify impediments and appropriately resolve them using a network of peers and formal channels.
  • Participate in release planning such as PI Planning, Inspect & Adapt, Scrum of Scrums. Provide Scrum team statistics, identifying project dependencies, team capacity, velocity forecasts, burndowns/burn-ups, dashboards, and Program Board updates.
  • Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and report progress and impediments.
  • Establish regular communication cadences and collaborate with Leaders to ensure successful project execution.

What You Will Need To Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, data science, or related field.
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, particularly in data-centric or technology-driven environments.
  • 2+ years of experience in managing the delivery of data-driven products and solutions to clients.
  • 2+ years of familiarity with data engineering and data analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Snowflake, ADF).
  • 2+ years of familiarity with Clarity and Atlassian tools.
  • Current Fiserv systems experience.

What Would Be Great To Have

  • Expertise in FinTech, Banking, Payments, IVR, Call Center, Fraud, and a strong understanding of Data Engineering and Data Science principles.
  • Experience utilizing data and metrics to validate theories, confirm assumptions, and measure project success.
  • A constant desire to learn, grow, and share knowledge, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification or equivalent.
