Job Summary
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the planning, direction, and management of all vehicle maintenance in their assigned region.

Job Summary
The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the planning, direction, and management of all vehicle maintenance in their assigned region.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure vehicles and equipment are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safe operation. Inspections include vehicle safety inspections, broker inspections, and EMS inspections.
- Retain accurate records of repairs and maintenance via online fleet management program and additional tracking methods as needed.
- Collaborate with internal operations to schedule vehicles out of service.
- Track and submit orders for vehicle supplies and inventory.
- Oversee daily vehicle inspections and provide feedback to management as needed.
- Enforce safe work behavior and maintain a safe work site.
- Assume a proactive approach to ensure that company vehicles are kept up to date on insurance and registration.
- Maintain records of fuel usage and mileage for each vehicle.
- Analyze cost-reduction strategies for maintenance and fuel expenses.
- Utilize basic tools and perform minor on-site repairs as able within safety requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by leadership.
- All employees, unless able to furnish an accommodation letter, are required to complete field orientation, which may involve stooping, bending, climbing, pushing and pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, and lifting as a team.
- Position may be stressful in terms of meeting deadlines.
- It requires regular lifting of up to 250 lbs as a team, as well as the ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.
- Majority of job duties will take place outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
- Local travel is required.

- Vehicle Management:
- Acquiring new vehicles through purchase, lease, or other means.
- Managing vehicle registration, licensing, and insurance.
- Overseeing maintenance and repairs, including scheduling and record-keeping.
- Implementing preventative maintenance strategies to maximize vehicle lifespan. Ensuring vehicles are properly maintained and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Managing fuel consumption and implementing fuel management procedures.
- Developing and implementing fleet management systems and processes.
- Analyzing fleet performance data and identifying areas for improvement.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Developing and implementing safety protocols for drivers and vehicles.
- Managing driver safety programs, including training and licensing.
