About this position
This position is responsible for providing guidance and leadership in the training and evaluation of Early Learning and School-age staff, as it relates to record-keeping and referrals of comprehensive health services.

What you'll be doing
- Supervising, training, and evaluating the health coordinator and health resource specialist;
- Reporting on health services, including PIR to supervisors and overseers, as directed;
- Maintaining program operations to ensure compliance with health requirements for both federal and state programs;
- Promoting full enrollment and participating in the recruitment of children;
- Using data to plan to identify training needs and other resources for enrolled children and families;
- Monitoring workshops for parents, organization staff, and community partners on health education and related topics;
- Planning, organizing, and initiating specific work to fulfill, including and not limited to, state and federal health, dental, and mental health services;
- Accurately completing all assigned paperwork documentation on a timely basis, as required by the funding source;
- Monitoring referrals and health-related needs services for all Early Learning and School-age programs;
- Promoting in-kind or federal matches within their components;
- Organizing and facilitating Health and Mental Health Services Advisory Committee;
- Monitoring routine screening tests, including vision and hearing;
- Developing and maintaining formal and informal partnerships with local healthcare providers and community organizations;
- Coordinating and overseeing contracts and MOUs for health-related services;
- Establishing and maintaining a staff wellness committee, in collaboration with other organization leadership;
- Reading and implementing all organizational program policies and procedures;
- Being culturally sensitive to families and staff. Using sensitivity and good judgment when interacting with children, parents, and staff;
- Working effectively with other team members;
- Developing plans and strategies to maximize cooperation between all regions.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor's degree in health sciences, public health, or another related field (Master's degree preferred);
- Four years of experience in pediatrics or health education;
- 2 years of supervisory experience;
- Must complete mandated reporter certification training, to be renewed every 2 years;
- Knowledge of food allergy management and prevention plans (preferred);
- Ability to effectively communicate in written and oral English;
- Command of Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or Vietnamese (preferred);
- A California driver's license, daily use of an automobile, and automobile liability insurance.

Job specifications
- Reports to the health services manager;
- Full-time, year-round position;
- Eight-hour workday, four-day workweek;
- Hybrid work schedule with approval by management;
- Organization-wide winter break;
- Limited evening or weekend work may be required;
- Employment, responsibilities, compensation and other factors may be affected by changes in governmental regulations, the organization's contracts, or at the organization's discretion.
Salary
- $85K - $89K per year (candidates should anticipate receiving an offer within the first quartile of the salary range).
