Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources (HR) professional to join our team at Casper Mountain Rehabilitation & Care Center. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing HR functions within the skilled nursing facility, ensuring compliance with federal and state labor laws, and supporting our staff in creating a positive work environment. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a deep understanding of HR practices, and a passion for helping our team provide the highest quality care for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment & Staffing: Manage the recruitment and onboarding process for new employees. This includes posting job openings, conducting interviews, assisting with hiring decisions, and ensuring smooth onboarding for new staff members.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting employee engagement. Act as a liaison between staff and management to maintain a healthy, productive work culture.
  • Compliance & Regulations: Ensure the facility complies with all local, state, and federal employment laws, regulations, and industry standards. Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure timely submission of required documentation (e.g., EEO-1 reports, OSHA records).
  • Training & Development: Coordinate ongoing employee training programs, including new hire orientation, mandatory in-service training, and professional development opportunities. Ensure that staff is up to date on certifications, licenses, and other required qualifications.
  • Payroll & Benefits Administration: Oversee payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate payment for all employees. Administer employee benefits programs (health, dental, vision, retirement plans, etc.), including enrollment, changes, and communication.
  • Performance Management: Assist in developing and implementing performance appraisal systems. Provide support to managers in addressing performance issues and conducting performance reviews.
  • Workforce Planning & Scheduling: Collaborate with department heads to manage workforce scheduling, ensuring adequate staffing levels to meet resident care needs while minimizing overtime and managing labor costs.
  • Health & Safety Programs: Work with the safety officer or management to ensure workplace safety protocols are followed, including maintaining OSHA compliance, employee wellness programs, and ensuring safe working conditions for staff.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement strategies for improving employee satisfaction and retention. Organize team-building activities, recognition programs, and surveys to gauge employee morale and address concerns.
  • Conflict Resolution & Disciplinary Actions: Handle employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. Maintain documentation and confidentiality throughout the process.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of experience in human resources, preferably in a healthcare, long-term care, or skilled nursing facility setting.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Experience with payroll, benefits administration, and performance management.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an office environment and occasionally travel within the facility.
  • Ability to perform tasks that may require bending, reaching, or stretching.
  • Ability to lift and carry light office equipment as needed.
