REGIONAL MANAGER

Position Summary

The Regional Manager (RM) manages the complete practice operations for an assigned number of pediatric dental clinics. Essential to this role is the ability to develop close working relationships with clinic and support teams, including dentists and other office managers. RM spearheads process improvements and growth initiatives with full profit and loss responsibility. Regional travel is a must, as a consistent presence in the practices is a critical component to sustained success.

Primary Responsibilities Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Achieving business goals, revenue, and profitability objectives through a respectful, forward thinking, and motivational style.
  • Continuous assessment of all staffing needs and providing support for Office Managers with effective recruitment.
  • Providing training and development support to ensure all staff of supported practices demonstrate knowledge of business model, operating procedures, and protocols.
  • Supporting daily office operations within the region when necessary.
  • Responding to clinical and operational concerns timely and effectively. Be accessible and responsive.
  • Supporting the achievement of performance targets & budgeted goals.
  • Manages profit and loss for multiple locations by analyzing financial trend data and balancing operations costs accordingly.
  • Assists with the development of annual budgets, operational standards, and strategic business goals.
  • Prepares recommendations designed to increase efficiency and lower operating costs.
  • Directs compliance of workers with established company policies, procedures, and standards such as safekeeping of company funds and property, personnel employment and grievance practices and the enforcement of government regulations.
  • Audits operational standards, performance, safeguards, financials, and facilities to ensure compliance with State, Federal and OSHA regulation/safety and security.
  • Supports real estate initiatives such as facility upgrades, remodeling, and expansions as well as acquisition facility opening process.
  • Monitors and analyzes regional advertising, marketing and sales programs and reports effectiveness accordingly.
  • Maintains regular, productive, communication with team, management, and doctors.
  • Audits patient scheduling to ensure maximum productive scheduling, proper insurance linking.
  • Responsible for training and evaluating office managers and assisting in staff training as needed.
  • Prepares reports for management on performance of dental offices as requested.
  • Other related functions as requested by management.


Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

  • Daily car travel within region to assigned practices.
  • Sitting, standing, and walking for long periods.
  • Moderate noise levels from dental and other office equipment.
  • Dental office/lab setting.
  • Hand dexterity and typing skills to work with standard software programs provided.
  • Good mathematical aptitude to prepare and interpret financial and productivity reports.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate and lead a team effectively.
  • Near Vision - Ability to see details at close range (within a few feet) as required for computer software programs and the observation of subordinates’ work quality.
  • Excellent communication skills - Talking and writing to others to convey information effectively.
  • Organizational Skills – Ability to create systems and order, break large goals down into achievable tasks
  • Stress Management - Ability to maintain productivity and professionalism in fast-paced environment and stressful situations.
  • Good reading comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.


Qualifications

  • MBA preferred but not required. Comparable experience may be considered to substitute for all or part of the required education at management’s sole discretion.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience in multi-location operations for patient-based industry.
  • Profit and loss responsibility with the ability to interpret and act upon financial statements.
  • Proven career progression with positions of increased responsibility.
  • Sound decision-making skills, drive, and desire to succeed.

  • Knowledge of billing codes and understanding of insurance plans.
