Position Overview

Primary facilitator for our major accounts of order processing, customer inquiries regarding orders, and liaison between departments to meet customer ship dates. Responsible for contacting customers, sales team members, or internal operation teams to obtain missing information or answer inquiries to ensure efficiency in the order to ship process. Create load diagrams for truckload and pallet freight to facilitate the preparation at the shipping warehouses.

Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Process customer orders via email, phone, customer portals, EDI, or any other means customers communicate their demand.
  • Check data accuracy in customer orders (including proper pricing).
  • Develop a knowledge of company products and service offerings through reading, or direct training.
  • Maintain and update pricing as instructed by direct supervisor.
  • Perform basic customer service functions, like answering questions or responding to customer inquiries.
  • Coordinate shipments by determining box or truckload shipment and whether a dual stop can be coordinated to reduce freight cost.
  • Build load diagrams for truckload and box trucks, floor loaded and/or pallets using software program Max Load.
  • Request rates from truckload carriers based off the shipping lane.
  • Determine freight percentage and net profit of a shipment to determine whether load is cost effective.
  • Run shippable order report several times a day for processing of new purchase orders.
  • Communicate with customers, sales and other company departments concerning orders.
  • Prepare customs documents for loads shipping to Canada and Puerto Rico in addition to other international destinations.
  • Any duty or responsibilities assigned by the direct leader or senior management.
  • Update company records in ERP and databases where appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
  • 2 Years of Related Experience in customer service, logistics coordination, and/or sales administration preferred.
  • Excellent English verbal and written skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • MS Office skills – strong with Excel.

8:00am to 5:00pm
