This role requires technical knowledge of HVAC equipment—including electrical configurations and accessories, as well as the ability to identify opportunities, develop client relationships, and close deals. Supervisory Responsibilities
- None
- Identify, develop, and close sales opportunities in the commercial HVAC market
- Conduct site visits, assess project requirements, and propose tailored HVAC solutions
- Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, property managers, engineers, and business owners
- Work closely with operations, engineering, and install teams to ensure seamless project delivery
- Understand and communicate the technical aspects of commercial HVAC systems, including electrical requirements, controls, ventilation, and accessory components
- Prepare accurate and detailed proposals and pricing
- Stay current with industry trends, product knowledge, code changes, and market dynamics
- Meet or exceed assigned sales goals and revenue targets
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably with commercial systems
- Strong understanding of commercial HVAC design, installation, and system components—including electric heat, economizers, controls, and other accessories
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in a construction or HVAC-related field
- Ability to read mechanical plans and specifications is a plus
- Self-motivated with excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in CRM tools, Microsoft Office, and quoting software
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Experience in commercial HVAC sales
- Ability to conduct site visits and prepare tailored proposals
- Familiarity with HVAC quoting software
- Knowledge of industry trends, building codes, and market dynamics
