Operational Procurement Agent

Job Description

From car parts to office supplies - we buy almost everything! SIXT is in search of a motivated Senior Operational Procurement Agent to join the growing US team. You will accompany your colleagues throughout the entire ordering process, and you are the contact person for all questions regarding the procurement process.

**YOUR ROLE AT SIXT**

• You collaborate with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing, ensure accurate delivery timelines, and evaluate supplier performance to maintain strong, cost-effective relationships
• You execute strategic procurement activities by planning purchase schedules, sourcing quality materials, and ensuring timely delivery to meet project and operational needs
• You manage the end-to-end purchasing process for HQ and Branch employees, including generating reviewing purchase orders, tracking open orders, coordinating shipments, and resolving invoice or delivery discrepancies
• You oversee the administration of supplier contracts and service agreements while facilitating the onboarding process to ensure compliance and smooth transactions
• You monitor procurement KPIs and metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities, enhance vendor efficiency, and drive continuous improvement in supply chain operations
• You support internal departments and branch locations by maintaining shipping accounts, delivering procurement-related training, and responding to item requests with timely communication and follow-through
  
  

**YOUR SKILLS MATTER**

• **Education** You have a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration or similar field
• **Experience** You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• **Technical Proficiency** You are proficient in end-to-end procurement operations, including supplier management, PO processing, contract administration, and shipping coordination using ERP systems (Coupa preferred.) Skilled in analyzing procurement data, tracking KPIs, and supporting multi-location teams to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness
• **Soft Skills** You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally, resolve issues proactively, and build effective relationships with suppliers and internal teams in fast-paced environments
• **Commitment to Excellence** You are adaptable to agile work environments and comfortable handling short-term projects independently with professionalism
• **Travel** You are flexible and willing to travel up to 25%
