This position is located in the California Justice Information Services Division, Bureau of Criminal Information & Analysis, Applicant & Record Quality Services Branch, Authorization & Certification Program, Non-Criminal Justice Access Oversight Section.
This position is contingent on budget approval by the Governor.

Additional Salary Information
Please note that this classification contains multiple salary ranges. New-to-State employees will be given the minimum salary of Range A, unless you meet Alternate Range Criteria 494 . For current state employees and/or those with reinstatement rights, your salary will be determined in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Within the Authorization & Certification Program, the Non-Criminal Justice Access Oversight Section is a dedicated team that supports the authorization of agencies and organizations requesting to conduct fingerprint-based background checks to help determine the suitability of a person applying for employment, a professional license, or any position serving children, the elderly, or individuals with disabilities.
As a Crime Analyst, you will be a vital link between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timeliness across all aspects of the authorization process. This position requires a high level of discretion, critical thinking, and a concrete understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations.
