Job Description

BASIC JOB FUNCTION

Purchase and planning of assigned raw materials and finished goods. Work with Operations Team members in our Decade ERP environment. Maintain the system to provide accurate information regarding costs and inventory. Implement process improvement initiatives for the department.

Job Duties

Generate and validate accurate purchase orders (pricing/quantities/delivery) to suppliers to ensure appropriate inventory levels are attained and managed Ensure that materials are delivered to meet planned schedule dates in production facilities Use analytical skills to provide strategic analysis of assigned product lines and make recommendations for continuous improvements Work closely with internal teams to ensure data attributes are aligned with inventory management and supply chain goals Develop projects that result in cost savings and continuous improvement for CWG. Gather data, perform analysis and provide recommendations that support the organization’s strategic goals Work cohesively and collaboratively across all internal departments, including Operations, Finance, Engineering, and Customer Service, as well as with CWG external supplier partners to meet customer expectations Communicates with suppliers on monthly ratings, Supplier Issue Tracking Reports and issues that arise on a continued basis.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or Operations Management
  • Knowledge of purchasing, inventory control, and inventory management methodologies
  • 2+ years’ experience in purchasing, sourcing, finance, and/or operations in a manufacturing environment
  • User experience with Purchasing ERP systems is strongly preferred along with strong Excel skills
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • High level of PC and database applications proficiency
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Demonstrate problem solving and negotiating skills

Salary range is $70-80k commesurate with experience, plus eligibility for a performance based bonus program.
